We spent two nights in Flagstaff then headed back to Phoenix on Tuesday because Ken's parents were flying in. Prior to leaving Flagstaff, we headed to...
Bearizona! My sister got the whole family in for free.
There's a wildlife range that you can drive through on your own or hop on a tour bus to go through. We chose the tour bus!
It was outdoors-ish a pretty cold. We forgot Tristan coat back at the Milwaukee airport, so we wrapped him in Ken's coat.
We saw reindeers and wolves.
Tristan seemed pretty intrigued by the animals.
Donkeys...
...and plenty of bears...
...also buffalo.
The bears were free to roam and can be found on the ground or in the trees. I was more comfortable taking the bus then driving my sister through the wildlife park. There have been stories of ornery bears ripping the bummer off cars.
After the bus tour, we made it in time for the Raptor Birds of Prey show.
Tristan's not too happy with us! Ken went to get everyone hot chocolate to keep us warm.
The show was interesting...
...apparently the Birds of Prey show includes skunks!
Also, owls.
The hot chocolate raised everyone's spirit!
We also saw an armadillo...
...and a porcupine.
Ethan's pretending to fight a bear.
There was a huge gift shop that we checked out. This gift shop had a python.
Tristan was intrigued by a huge model train exhibit.
Tristan wanted a ride in the sleigh.
We spent a good couple of hours at Bearizona before we headed down the mountain to warmer temperatures in the valley. So far, the kids were not impressed with the warm desert temperatures I promised them!
